When the flat covers weren't moving as fast as I thought they would, I ended up putting about 1,000 on the FREE tables of the San Diego Comic Convention 2001. But I didn't do this until Sunday morning. As it turns out, Bob was scanning the free stuff and he was able to pick one up. He never did find the booth. If I had known the booth number beforehand I would have printed it on the comic, but I didn't find out what it was until about two weeks before. Unless you were actually looking for the booth and knew the booth number, I was pretty hard to find. People that were just browsing did stop and look at the booth, but the Con is so big that it's pretty much like looking for a needle in a haystack. I know this from experience, because I can barely find stuff even when I know the booth number.
Well I'm glad Bob found the cover and whipped up a pinup for all to enjoy. He contacted me just a few days ago (7/27/2001), just shortly after the Con and attached this great looking pinup!
Thanks Bob!
And now a word from the artist himself...
I've been drawing off and on now for a few years. I found a flyer at the San Diego Comic Con about CiCi. I visited the website and after a few minutes, I knew I had to draw CiCi. I love drawing attractive comic girls. Drop me a note and tell me what you think!
Thanks,
