I met Matt at my first comic con waaaay back in 1999, but he probably doesn't remember that.  I'm pretty sure it was briefly in the hall of the Wyndham.  I barely remember it myself.  So I suppose I officially met Matt at the next one in 2000.  A group of us had dinner at a pretty nice Italian restaurant in San Diego.  So when I met up with him again at the November 2000 Majesticon I HAD to ask for a pinup.  He said sure why not.  He did it that night or the following day since he was staying with Monte.  Chachi Hernandez is going to ink it and Monte is going to airbrush it.  I'm not sure what they'll do with the final piece, maybe donate it to the 2001 San Diego art auction.  It should turn out killer.  Stay tuned for updates on the progress of this piece.
