SPILLED
MILK PRESS RELEASE #3
For Global Release
Spilled Milk is published… again. This time a color sampler comes to the convention table.
Publisher, Parker Smart, felt that color might sell better in San Diego
and printed this color sampler strictly limited to 3,000 copies.
Last year many people balked at buying a 30 page black and white comic
for $2.00. Most of these copies
will be going to retailers along with the original preview issue, which will
give them a good sampling of what they will actually be buying.
There have been many changes since last year in the Spilled
Milk team. The penciling is
finished for all four issues so Jason Hall was able to take a break and continue
his web development. Jay Leisten
stepped up to the plate in the inking department.
He’s currently lending his talents to Dale Keown’s Darkness issue.
He should be wrapping up with issue four of CiCi shortly.
Beth Sotelo took over at the coloring board and is expected to finish out
the series. Her superior coloring
techniques rival very few and punish the rest.
Smart is looking for a particular look and believes he has found it in
Sotelo’s colors.
There is still no official release date.
But once the first three issues are submitted to Diamond Distributors for
review you can bet on another press release and look out for at least a
full-page ad in the Diamond catalog. After
four years on the drawing board the light at the end of the tunnel is no longer
just a faint star in a distant constellation, but a blinding white-hot supernova
that will cause serious burns after prolonged exposure..
