Spilled Milk signs with Energy Entertainment.  It’s official.  The contract was signed towards the end of February and the media frenzy has begun.  Energy Entertainment is a management company that will solicit the CiCi concept to either film or television studios.  They are currently seeking writers for the project and will submit the scripts to Sony who currently has a “first look” deal with Energy.

Daniel Alter, head of the comic book properties department, is very excited about, CiCi, the first project coming from Spilled Milk.  Alter tells Comics2Film.com in his latest interview, "The main character is a strong female lead, but she has a certain vulnerability with regard to what's happened to her (which in itself, is a very topical issue)," Alter continues, "I think that makes her relatable to a general audience, but the long and short of it is, CiCi is a great ride: Action-packed.  A kick-ass heroine.  Lots of twists and turns and some sweet set-pieces."

Alter calls the book "the best Top Cow book Top Cow never published," and added, "if Image or Top Cow are reading this, contact this guy about putting out the trade and doing a new mini-series."

Parker Smart is very excited about the deal and is happy to see such enthusiasm and passion from somebody other than himself.  He signed the deal for Spilled Milk and figures that at the very least it will generate more interest in the project and gain more exposure for the next series to be published.  But ultimately this deal will further Smart’s dream to publish more of the CiCi series.
