Vicki Williams

Out of the blue I get e-mail from somebody I've never heard from before, but the subject says "Spilled Milk Pinup Submission".  I thought that was pretty cool.  An unsolicited pinup from a real professional.  I asked her what prompted her to do the pinup.  "... mostly for fun." was her unofficial answer.  Officially Vicki was nice enough to type up some words of wisdom regarding her background.

And now a word from the artist herself...

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, probably ever since I was old enough to pick up a pencil and not treat it as a food group. (Imagine a baby's surprise to figure out it was far more then just a teething stick!! Wow....)

Drawing has always been my hobby, I honestly never planned to pursue art as a career.  But then, by sheer happenstance,  I was noticed for some of my work and hired on as a full time artist for an aspiring new company, EMI Com.

I truly enjoy my work, I mean, who wouldn't enjoy doing their hobby for a living?  Actually, I think one of the neatest parts about being a comic artist is seeing how my style and skill has developed from my first issue to the current one.  That and counting the number of guys I've met that say: "wow, I didn't know girls could draw...", I always take that as a compliment :-)

And of course, as many other artists do, there's always the fun challenge of drawing someone else's character and making a recognizable job of it.  As it just so happens, I found the perfect opportunity to try it myself when I came across this website.  So here it is.
