I met Zekie at the Nan Desu Kan 2002.  I was just setting up on Friday afternoon and he was wandering around with his sketchbook.  He stopped and looked at my booth and I asked if I could see some of his stuff.  I was impressed by the halo's he put around all of his characters.  He's got a VERY steady hand to keep that spacing consistent.
